Hey! Can anyone tell me advantages and disadvantages of using the GFP-fusion protein over immunofluorescence microscopy?
If someone knows please let me know!.. Your help is much appreciated! Thanks!

With GFP you do not need to fix your sample and to permeate membrane to allow penetration of the Antibodies, thus avoiding artifacts. Some variants of GFP also have different stability from very lowto quite high, which can be useful if you are interested in time dynamics of a protein expression (you will use an unstable variant) or just locating a particular structure (you will use a stable variant).
