      Hi
I have seen some Anti-Turbo GFP in a uk distributors site. I’m a bit confused. Is this vector has an anti body + turboGFP or is a vector responsible for destroying Turbo GFP. It’s much cheaper than normal GFP.
And its volume is about 200 ug at 50% dna and the rest some other liquid. Do I use it as it is or ad water or something else to it to increase the volume and prevent wastage since its £130 for 200 ug.
One more thing does any one has for sale a syringe bracket that lets you move the syringe in micro amounts in 3 dimentions?
      cheers 😀

Those are the antibodies, not the plasmid you want

      cheers mate
if I buy a 50% dna solution is it good to mix it with some thing else? e.g. water, glycerol
      thanks

Hmm lets see 50% dna, whats the other 50%, does it say on there, it could just be solvents or buffers for the DNA. Water shouldn’t hurt, distill water right? Not sure about glycerol.

It says you must store it -20to -80 and the other half is glycerol. I think water will break it and damage the dna at -20. What if I add glycerol to increase its size to about 500% and add 500%water to the amounts I’ll be needing for test. i thing glycerol is poisonous for any cell right? 😯

ok ok i got it, glycerol is used for the storage of it, I remember it now.

by the way keep all DNA stuff in a really cold freezer, and use an ice bucket when using it outside

      Much appreciated
Ok read some ware glycerol has low toxicity? I think I should buy some glycerol and increase the volume from 100ug to 200ug .and for use add 300ug of still water so I’m left with 600ug and 10% DNA. I think 10% is still too much. Since is very small. One more thing if I inject too much GFP would the cell make more protein?

About the GFP thing some people can actually buy plasmids that are specifically made to express more GFP protein. It all depends on the promoter on the plasmid. But I suppose inject more DNA would make more protein. Can you show me the plasmid you have selected?

do you think these plasmids are in form of RNA or DNA?

This is why I needed you to tell me these things. The two links are for the proteins, not the genes. Those proteins are used for staining experiments. The plasmid should always be DNA no matter what.

Wow that was close you saved my life again david23. I almost bought it last week. Cheers mate

Can you get hold of yellow red and blue? If I’m not mistaking with these 3 you can make all the colours.
I’m trying to make a fish or a frog to glow. I’m also doing an experiment on how to make simple patterns.

give me the website where you found GFP, I’ll find the other colors for you. Those companies should sell all the colors.

The website I gave you before was it. But like you said they only sell proteins
I found this site this morning. I think they sell plasmids. Thanks for your help. Tell you what if I get to make a hybrid I name it david23. i read some ware GFP consume alot of energy about 3 energy rich molecules for 1 photon of light. This information any good? Sorry for naming a hungry sleepless fish after you. only kidding mate i make it half glowing so it can get some rest the poor thing. How are you david23 call me for those plasmids
      😀
