Taken from http://www.wikipedia.com
quote :Astrobiology is the study of life in space, combining aspects of astronomy, biology and geology. It is focused primarily on the study of the origin, distribution and evolution of life. What do you guys think of this emerging field in Biology. Is their any promising prospects with respects to astrobiology?

In Spain there is an important Astrobiology research centre (http://www.cab.inta.es). There, scientists study the origin, presence and influence of life in the Universe and do tests to solve some hypothesis.

Astrobiology…… A Human Dream…… Still to exists.. Or….All ready been there???

well technically right now this field doesn’t really have anything to study..

People who work in this field do tests about how would be life in other planets taking in account their atmosphere, orbit (duration of the day and year), soil conditions, temperature, etc. Also they research how affects the space conditions (ingravity, etc) to certain biomolecules and how would affect to organisms (is important to know the changes in astronauts’ homeosthasis).
Microorganisms would be the greatest astronauts, don’t you think? He he :D.

One thing I find particularly fascinating about astrobiology theory is the hypothesis that life on other planets may have evolved as silicon-based life forms, under higher temperatures.
Great stuff - December 25, 2006 at 5:40 am #63973SchröderParticipantquote Enzyme:quote MrMistery:know the changes in astronauts’ homeosthasis).

LOL Let’s just hope they don’t find a niche there 😆
