does anyone know what a centrosome is good for? i looked in many textbooks and on many websites and i couldnt find anything on them if anyone knows anything please let me know

Here’s what I found on the internet, it’s just a definition, so maybe you can fudge it: The primary microtubule organising center (MTOC) of animal cells, that divides prior to cell division each daughter MTOC acts as one pole of the spindle apparatus. The centrosome usually contains a pair of centrioles.
