What chemical does chromosome contain? (protein or DNA?)
Thank you……and please don’t delete my message!
P.S. can someone please tell me…….why are my messages deleted? It said in my inbox ‘bad title’???
😀 No kidding, but might be interesting to have a look at the definition of a chromosome in our dictionary. While you’re at it look for histones too.
Cheers! Will look at histones…….
and at first they thought the protein was the genetic material because proteins are more complex. But hey look: A simple molecule like DNA is the actual genetic material.
I think it is so cool that there are so many different genes from only what is in that molecule!! It’s amazing!!
Just some info about chomosomes:
A chromosome consists of a molecule of DNA associated with proteins (histonic and non-histonic) and RNA.
See ya! 😉
a chromosome consists of 1, a protein which in eukaryotes they are called histones. 2.DNA
A chromosome consist of DNA, histonic proteins, non-histonic proteins and RNA (only a very little percentage but it exists).
What’s your favorite part of the chromosome?
