i was wondering, what happends to a dynein (or a kinesin), when it reaches the end of the microtubule (when it has transported the cargo and its role is over). It is just destroyed or the microtubules are conected in a way that dynein can continue and carry something else somewhere?

it detaches from the microtubule. and then it reataches… I think…

yeah… it walks right to the end and "falls off"… where it can find another microtuble to walk along.

thanx a lot.. and one more question, can dyenine and kinesine walk on the same microtubule, can one pass by the another?

I ve seen that in an cell animation in biology video topic it was nice…..

yeah they can walk on the same microtubule. i don’t think it is known how the cell evoids colisions. And by the way, they can also jump from one microtubule to another, or at least that was what my professor said..
