how would raising the voltage affect the results of electrophoresis? How would lowering?
Also how does the polarity affect electrophoresis?

what is the property of the separation with electrophoresis? Molecular weight. In order to separate, you need samples with a negative charge, so polarity have only a very little contribution in the separation.
–> when u raise the voltage, the samples will migrate faster. But you must be aware of rising of the temperature of the gel 😉
