hi, im not really sure about where to post this so here i am.
question is, how to u grow more facial hair.
haha, i understand that testosterone is the one responsible for it, but, i can’t just take some testosterone pills or smth like that right. Is there any way to simtulate the growth of facial hair? any food / fruit that will help??
thx…..damn i need some facial hair.

Well my only advice is to eat more protein – Facial hair is made up of proteins so eat foods high in protein…
- February 10, 2005 at 2:56 pm #19499biostudent84Participant
It does not take that much protein to grow any type of hair. Unless all your hair is falling out, you don’t need to worry about protein intake.
Genes and age are what determines facial hair. There is little you can do about your genes, but if you wait a few years, you’ll have more…but then again, by that time, you’ll find that having facial hair is more a pain in the butt than anything =/
- February 10, 2005 at 7:12 pm #19501
haha, that maybe so, well i researched about it and i found out that age is a matter.
im 19 right now, i just hope that it is still growing.
anyway thx lot

Well, if you’re rich you can try putting Rogaine on your chin. I think it has a small effect.
If you’re really rich, go for some sort of hair transplant operation :D.
P.S. I’m happy to not have much facial hair, less shaving.
- February 13, 2005 at 1:43 am #19549EdherParticipant
I agree with the rest of the foreros that facial hair isn’t as good as you think. I remember I used to be so anxious about growing facial hair so I could look older or simply acquire a different look by matching it with my eyebrows and hair. However, now that I finally grew some it is annoying to have to shave it off every other day. Specially when you get a reasonable size pimple and have to shave over it. Bloody Hell. And anyway, the majority of girls that I’ve gone out with find it annoying because it pokes them. They sometimes like the look, but they prefer to caress cheeks that are smooth as baby cheeks.
In addition, if there are some pills or tips on how to grow more hair, I would encourage you not to take or follow them because you might end up growing hair in the wrong areas of your body where it is really uncomfortable. Just something to think about.

having less facial hair is actually quite good…… when i compare my dad and my bro, my dad shaves less as he has less facial hair compared to my bro…. so it was, like, every morning, my bro spends lots of time in the toilet shaving, which is a waste of time….. he could have done something more useful if he doesn’t have to shave that much….. my bro has a lot of facial hair, considering that he is an asian….
- February 18, 2005 at 6:36 am #19685
well im an asian too, and i think thats why i have very less facial hair. but think about it, if i want to grow some facial hair, why would i shave them off everyday? haha right? 😀

GOOOOOOD news :D, dear friend, if I tell u something you wouldn’t believe it, but anyways I want share my experience with u, especially with people who are looking for a treatment, or some kind of damn product to help grow more facial hair. But before I tell u the name of the product I want to mention something.
Nowadays, people use any kind of hormones to help their facial hair, I can say this, it is all shit. Don’t use it, don’t put your life in danger; those hormones are harmful for your body, and the side effects are greater than their benefits, u might not notice the side effects in a short time of period, but in long term u would see how harmful they are; if you haven’t use it yet, I advice u, DONT USE IT.
Here is my story. I am 22 years old, still a guy who looks like 17 years old kid. Well, I don’t mind, but it is hard when people think that I am 17. Well I know it is a genetic problem, but hey we are living in 21 century and don’t give up if you are like me! There are always some treatments. Here is something that u can do about your facial hair.
Use “ROGAINE”. This is a product which helps men to re-grow their lost hair.
At the back of its pack says: don’t use it anywhere else except midsection of your scalp!
I am using it to treat my facial hair. So far it worked; I have been using it since last three months. Now I can see some improvement, I can see more facial hair (baby soft and colorless hair) which is according the product information it takes 4 to 12 months to re- grow the lost hair. Since I am using it on my face; the result would be vary.
Don’t be over excited: sometimes you are lucky to find the right product. Be extra careful, don’t believe, whatever u read on internet. I am not saying to use Rogaine because neither I am a doctor nor a scientist, therefore if you want to give it a try and accept the risks, then use it. Or wait for me to get the result and I promise to tell you what ever the reality is about Rogaine.

i suppose i could hazard a guess,
taking testosterone is one way to grow more facial hair (and get more muscle mass, etc). On the down side, taking too much testosterone results in testicular atrophy (your testes get smaller) and consequently your body’s sperm and testosterone production goes down. And all this to grow a few hair?
Forget about it.
- July 24, 2006 at 3:58 am #52064aryaanParticipant
Well, I don’t know much about testosterone, but I know this much that it is hormone in body that helps men to grow muscles and is responsible for many changes in men during the puberty.
Here is some of my own experience. Last year I was looking for some kind of treatment for my facial perhaps I met this guy who used to go gym and he had huge muscles, when I asked him how to do to gain more muscles? He told me, that he is using testosterone injection. Well it was the time that I found out the usage of artificial testosterone. So then later on I found out the testosterone is also activates the hair roots under skin. So I said WOW! Yeh that is right a big wow, encouraged me to find the injection, I wouldn’t mind how expensive it could be, because I was welling to pay and do anything to have facial. Well, I asked here there, but unfortunately I couldn’t find because it is illegal without prescription. Well, I was looking desperately about the injection, that one day over internet I read an article about the abuse of testosterone, you know what! I panic I THANKED my God yeh that is right a big thank same as a big wow when I first heard about the usage of testosterone but not the side effects.
Well, this is to people who want to use or using these harmful chemicals; don’t jeopardize your life and your wellbeing. Hell Damn about the dirty facial hair I feel myself lucky, I don’t want to put my life in risk to have facial hair, I prefer keeping my testis rather having facial hair.
Thanks to you, if you avoid using these harmful chemical.

Here is popular and safe chemical substances to help growing hair. This is NOT brands, this is bioactive compounds in a product that stimulate hair growth: Minoxidil (topical), Propecia (oral).
It is like Paracetamol in Flu Drugs. It is NOT a brand, but the active compound to combat flu symptoms.
You can get it in Drugs Store (Pharmaceuticals).

There is one simple solution to improve hair growth in your face. It’s common in our village for young adults to prepare and use this solution. Here it goes
Take 10ml of water add 5 drops of lemon juice,5 drops of sugar solution and add one half of a pepper.
mix well and rub it on your chin. It would itch at first but its not harmfull dont worry, dont try applying under your nose though ok.
Try it and let me know.

I was late going thru Puberty myself. And as a teenager I could only grow a wimpy peach fuzz stache. In my early 20’s I grew a slightly better Mustache but no other facial hair. In my late 20’s I grew a small mustache and some goatee hairs. It wasn’t until I hit my early 30’s when I could grow a full mustache and a good goatee. Into my mid 30’s my facial hair grew more each year. I am in my late 30′ s now.
My facial hair has increased a lot the past year and I have sprouted a lot of hair on my chest. I also have more body hair in other places as well. (even those evil nose and ear hairs).
It is weird that someone in their late 30’s can still grow more chest hair and notice a increase and rate of their facial hair.
Let this be a lesson. Not everyone hits 15 and grows a full beard and chest hair. Sometimes it may take into their 30’s.
The question remains however, WHY?

I am 37 y/o with thick drk brown hair (on my head). I cannot grow a mustache or beard for anything. It ticks me off because my dad can grow a thick beard in about 4 days! I have always wanted one since I was a kid. I wish there was something I can do! I am on day 7 of growing out my sideburns and they look pathetic. I’m going to shave them just to clean up. Anybody? Anything? My hair is drk brown but my eyebrows are a very light brown. They are almost transparent.
(Yet my pubs are dark brown, no armpit hair to speak of and leg hair, again, is transparent)

Propecia blocks production of DHT which cause baldness..so it stops falling of hairs…it is originally used as therapy for prostate and testes cancer(if I remember well)..There are many testosterone products in oral form, gels, injections, sticks you put under skin..in some genetic disorders like congenital adrenal hyperplasia there’s high production of testosterone from adrenal glands..some precursors of T are DHEA(athletes use it,and older people as suplementation)..
And I wont write a novel here lol..
But I guess that beard and hair are different, thats why chemotherapy doesnt cause falling of all body hair..
- April 19, 2010 at 5:03 pm #99122GabrielTunParticipant
I understand that ROGAINE may cause regrowth of hair for bald men if, and only if, used in a continued fashion.
However, If I were to use ROGAINE in an attempt to stimulate/increase facial hair production, would the effects (if any) last after termination of treatment or would the same principle as head hair also apply for that of the face?
Soz if that seems like question with an obvious answer (!)
P.S I’m 16 going on 17, just in case age is a determinant.

Well i hope your production of testosterone good. If you really want to grow hair soon on your health then you can apply hair oil and hair shampoo on your face. This is truly grows fast. Also eat Amla berries. Amla berries are used lot to grow the hair.
