      Anyone familiar with this biostatistic software? I want to have old version 3.0 , 4.0, or 4.3. Demo version will accepted. It can be used for 30 days 😆

      I have no idea lol, but it does have multidimensional distance analysis so I think it’s pretty advanced.

      I am stuck with my ELISA data analysis again 🙁
      I read in its protocol that I need "Four Parameter Logistic" software to generate proper standard curve. Anyone knows how to find this software? Thank you.

      I believe Excel will graph it for you. As for calculating it off the graph you need an equation. I will look around I know I used to have one in a file somewhere but Now I use Prism, StatView or SoftMax

The standards data are used to form a characteristic or standard curve which may be modeled using a three point cubic spline or a four parameter logistic-log function. The four parameters of the logistic function may be estimated using two methods: iteratively reweighted least squares and robust procedures. Estimation options include the Taylor series linearization (Gauss-Newton) and the Marquardt’s compromise estimation algorithms. The standard curve is then used to interpolate antibody concentrations for the patient isolates and quality control samples. Summary statistics are calculated from these concentrations (means, standard deviations, coefficients of variation, etc). ELISA for Windows also forms plots of the standards data with the estimated standard curve superimposed on the data points.

      I know this thread is out of date but I hope this information will reach others that are facing a similar question.

      The 4-parameter logistic model equation assumes symmetry around the inflection point whereas the 5-parameter logistic model equation takes into account the asymmetry that is present in most bioassays including elisas.

      Here is a blog post that goes into the 5-parameter logistic in more detail.

      MasterPlex ReaderFit is specifically designed for drawing standard curves and curve-fitting of unknown points from elisa assays.
