I’m in 12th grade & i have to present a project on biology.. And I want to do something on genetics 🙂
But i’m confused & i really don’t know what i should do my project on.. 🙁 So it would be nice if you all could suggest some topics.. I want to do something which is unique but also easy to understand.. I also have to give a viva so i should be able to understand the topic! 😛Thanks,

You could try studying a simple characteristic such as attached earlobes. Look at many student’s earlobes, then their parent’s earlobes. Get a big sample (many people). Deduce the pattern of heredity.
Be careful with studies like this, though. You might just call someone’s ancestry into question. This can be disconcerting for participants in your study. Occasionally students learn during blood-typing labs that their father is not in fact their biological father.

Hows topic of genetic modification like how to clone a gene, techniques used and aftermath of modified genes?

it sounds awesome! but i guess it involves some expensive machinery.. does it?
