Hi, i live in scotland and i am currently in my 3rd year at high school. I took chemistry and physics for standard grade and am finding them both to be easy to manage and I think i will do very well in them. I have recently decided that I want to study medicine after I leave school but I will definitely need a biology higher, will this be too difficult for me to study without the standard grade ? To get into medicine I will have to do maths, english, chemistry, physics and biology and get straight A’s, i know i will be able to get them all except im worrying about biology, its the only science my school lets me pick up for higher so will i do ok if i work hard?
Thank you sooo much to anyone who answers, its sooo helpful 🙂 xxx

Medicine is very time consuming. Actually it is life consuming. You are going to have to want it, and then proceed forward. It is one of those choices that you make in your life, that will shape your life. Biology will not be the problem that stops you from being in medicine. It shoould be an easy step (especially after chemistry! and physics), but you should also like it as medicine deals with the biology of people.
