This old lady got problem on how to remove hypophysis from its place for then to be processed for histological preparation. For your information, the animal is three-month-old white Balb/c mouse. As you may know, this strain is a tiny cuty thingy mousy 😕

Andrei is correct. Because the gland is a tiny baby, super care must be taken to remove it out. However, when the removal is successful, we still need to process for preparation. This means we will face another problem because organs/tissues sometime get shrinked in fixative or another chemicals in the process. I cannot imagine if that tiny baby will be shrinked. I will get nothing to examine by then 🙁

Routine histological method: paraffin method with fixative formaldehyde and standars PAS staining for beta cell.
