I read on my textbook and here that: http://www.courseweb.uottawa.ca/medicine-histology/english/Renal/Default.htm
quote :The outer part, called the cortex, is a dark reddish brown color. The inner part, called the medulla, is lighter-colored.But then there are websites that says: http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-the-renal-cortex.htm
quote :…the medulla is darker in color…the cortex can be identified by its paler color…I think the cortex should be darker in color since the majority of the capillaries is in the cortex(or is it?), but I can’t be sure… 😕
Please help! Thanks! 🙂
