      Hi,

I have drawn a graph of percentage light transmission for an enzyme (postivite correlation) and I want to change this into a graph showing enzyme activity (should be a negative correlation). How can I do this? Would inversing the graph work?

      Thanks

what are you doing? What is your graph?

I think, that you want to convert transmission to absorbance…

I’m measuring effect of acid concentrations on an enzyme. I used percentage transmission as gave better results. On x axis is concentration an y axis is % light transmission. I want to make y axis enzyme activity..

so, on x-axis you have the concentration of acid, right?

You now need to know the extinction coefficient for your substance and wavelength and just convert transmission to absorbance 😉

      Ah I see. Thanks a lot 🙂 🙂
