      migration – invasion

      scattering – emt

Could you make a clear difference between the terms above? I think cells migrate, and the tumor invades. Other than that, there is no difference, although a lot of sources force unclear differences to distinguish between those.

Cell scattering is somehow a previous step that would have a more advanced stage called epithelial to mesenchymal transition. I also don’t get this comparison, aren’t those two phenomena essentially the same?

No opinions? I also have this feeling that people use migration to cell movement based on cytoskeletal rearrangements only, and they use invasion to include matrix degradation. BTW, is there migration without matrix degradation at all???

I guess, that migration means only the movement, without any disturbances, but invasion is something violent, think about vikings and their invasion to the western Europe 😉 😆

      What is emt?
