Hi there,
Just wondering – If 50uL of 2N NaOH is added to 50uL of H20 what is the final normality of NaOH? I am struggling with my basics. please help
these are really basics. The amount is the same, volume is twice bigger -> concentration is twice smaller (half of original)
In general, c1v1=c2v2 where: c1 = starting concentration v1 = starting volume c2 = ending concentration v2 = ending volume
Jackbean already solved your particular problem, but you can use this equation to solve dilution problems in general.
If 50uL of 2N NaOH is added to 50uL of H20 what is the final normality of NaOH?
c1 = 2N v1 = 50 uL v2 = 100 uL solve for c2
