Probably a dog, but maybe a horse. I don’t know. I guess if that situation arises I’ll know.

Why? Dogs may be the companion keep you sane type, but they serve no real purpose. Horse is transportation, hauling, things of that nature, and they make great companions and when you develop a relationship with a horse they actually have been known to protect someone like a dog does.

I’d go with the horse. That’s what I’d do.

I want a dragon.

Dogs could help with manual labor (Think Husky!) and plus maybe they could hunt small animals for you! And be nice company 🙂

The Dark Crystal was way creepier than the Luck Dragon! I would want the luck dragon on my island with me. It talks to you, and can fly.

Alex, what if you got stuck with a human you couldn’t stand? There are some people that I could get stuck with that would end up with only 1 living human on the island.
Plus, that is cheating.

No it’s not cheating. The question was what animal; humans are definitely classified under the animal kingdom, are we not? Also, if I couldn’t stand him/her, he/she would become my lunch. I’ve either got someone to help me find food or someone to turn into food. It’s a win/win situation.

I’ve done that before, although lately I’ve been sticking to one shower per day. But now that I have my own place (*humongous grin*) with no one else to waste hot water, I might start showering twice a day again.

I have 3 brothers and my parents to think of when I take a shower, so I take two really hot ones a day and laugh when the water turns cold on them.

That sounds deliciously evil. 😈

But there are more people like that, very annoying when you meet the really evil ones.

I defiantly wouldn’t shower often if I had to shower in cold water. Reminds me of a Tom Waits song.

Brrr… I was listening on the radio yesterday about people going to go swimming Feb. 2nd here in Kansas City… Yikes! All for a good cause, though.

What kind of cause would make you go swimming in February?

Would not be good for anyone. It’s just a generally STUPID idea, and no matter the number of paramedics around it’s still possible to be hurt or to get extremely sick.

At least someone does…

It depends on what is important to a person, standing for a cause of the chance of getting sick. People have been doing it for a long time, so the people who do it just weigh what they find important, and make a decision. I think people are more willing to come watch and give money if people do crazy things, instead of just "hey… come give us some money for the kids!"

It’s not just about getting sick! It’s about putting yourself in a dangerous situation that’s more bad than the good that could come out of it! AND they’re not just kids you know, people who are mentally challanged can still be the same age as you even if they don’t have the same level of thinking.
You’re right, people may pay more to see crazy shit but there’s a million other things people could do than jumping into a freezing cold lake.

I know not all mental challeneged people are kids. But, most fund raiser are for helping children. I was refering to fund raisers in general.

Well at least everyones entertaining hypothermia so the kids can’t get new text books every year that they’ll never really read and half of them will fail the class.
People are spoiled enough as it is.
I can see money being raised for cancer reaserch and stuff like that, but come on.

People raise money for the victims of natural disasters and half that money hasn’t been used after a year.
