      if anybody can please help me with this it would be really appreciated:
      how do cells prevent their own peptidases from digesting their own proteins and killing themselves?

      i think it has something to do with peptidase inhibitors but not exactly sure if its right….
      could it possibly be something about site recognition on the cell’s own protein which prevent the peptidases from recognizing them?

      Remember, enzymes are only designed to function in a certain environment. Also look up zymogens.
