Does anyone know publications that say something about the production of phytoalexins by virus-infected plant cells?
I’ve searched the internet, and all the information I got are about the synthesis of phytoalexins by plants infected by bacteria or fungi.
I’ve found one article, saying something about decreased production of phytoalexins after viral infection, but I don’t get the reason, why viral desease would cause the decrease in defense substances production…
Maybe you guys know something more…
Thank you!
