I have a culture of Mouse fibroblast cells. When I seed them on to a glass coverslip and observe them in an inverted microscope I see lots of cells with 2 or 3 nuclei and sometimes the nuclei appear to be enlarged. What is going on? Please help a lowly biophysicist.

      Thanks

well you may be observing a late telophase, when the nucleus has divided but cytokinesis has not taken place yet. or you may be observing the process of entosis – your cell with two nuclei might actually be a cell inside another cell
