Hi All,
I just need to discuss about expression of pseudogene. I work on pseudogene and saw its expression in my cell line by RT-PCR. When I went back to its sequence on genome level, I do not find any poly A signal or Poly A tail. Also there is no signature of regulatory sequence upstream. Now I really wonder how on earth has this pseudogene transcribed? I have extracted from gel and sequenced it confirming it is pseudogene.
DO you guys have any idea what is going on?

maybe try to get full sequence of your transcript, so you will see, where it starts and ends and that may give you some hint.
Are you sure, that you do not detect other regular gene, which hares some sequence of your primers, but is normally expressed?
