Well it sounds like your eyes will be strained if you don’t wear glasses as usually the eyes are able to focus to the same degree in order for the best result. However with your eyes they would have to focus to different degrees. I’m not an expert 😕

Sounds like you have a case of mild miopia. Miopia means you can not things that are in the distance. Your problem is very small, -0.75 and -0.50 respectively. I wear glasses with a prescription of -3.50 and -3.75. I have medium miopia. A big miopia is -10. Myopia is corrected with spherical lenses.
If your doctor said that you need to wear your glasses permanently then you probably also have strabism. Strabism is the deviation of the ocular axes. Strabism is corrected with cylindrical lenses.
My advice, wear your glasses. I do.Also, i am not responsable if i got it wrong. It is next to impossible to determine things like this over the internet.

Big myopia? It would be me then…I got a -11 for both eyes.. 🙁 and I also have a starbism at about 3.5…..if I had to put out my glasses, it feels like I’m a blind man..
I wonder if there’s any cure for this?? My doctor suggest me to take a laser surgery (I think it’s named LESIK) when I’m above 20 (because she said that my eyes’ refraction would be stable at that age)…but I don’t know if I have a chance to do this… 🙁 - August 5, 2006 at 7:07 am #52800saadiaParticipant
if a person site is -10 then laser is effective or not?
