I was wondering, does the process of sweating have an impact on the blood stream? Does sweating, whether stress related or heat related, cause somethng to be released into our blood, e.g. more salt, a hormone, etc.? If yes, what is it that gets into the blood?
I am an author, not a scientist, so please be patient with me if I find it necessary to ask follow-up questions.

sweating causes you to lose salts(look at a gatorate bottle).

Thanks for the reply, Mith. From previous reading, I know that sweat contains water, sodium, potassium, chloride, as well as fatty acids and some proteins depending upon which sweat glands are involved. I also read that during low sweat production, the sweat is reabsorbed into the body. During this reabsorption process, do any of the things that are in sweat end up in the blood stream?
