I took a few pictures with my phone (Best Camera I could find) of a bone I found very near the water at Saginaw Bay. Please help me identify the bone and species, I don’t even know what part it is.
That doesn’t look familiar to me. Maybe something from spine cord? 🙁
it’s very strange… if you are sure it’s a bone go to the nearest archaelogic center or museum..they shall help you
That looks like a tooth, possibly from something along the lines of a deer, pronghorn, or bison.
Looks like a rear grinding molar of some sort of herbivorous animal, hard to tell with the images.
I agree with the above posters that it’s probably a big herbivore molar. Moose seems most likely.
