A lot of you probably already know about this, but PBS has a cool site with a bunch of NOVA programs you can watch online for free. They’re usually divided up into chapters, but the entire programs are available to watch. Sorry, but I don’t think you can download, only for watching streaming video. Broadband definitely recommended.

Topics range from cancer research to mapping the human genome to physics and astronomy.

um…basically because we moved here about a year ago and left our old tv behind. My dad was planning on getting a flatscreen with dvd player but missed the sale. He bought a different one, but we found out that the box had been opened b4 and we returned it, so were just waiting for another sale.
It is not that hard without a tv, because i spend nearly all my time either reading, drawing, or online.

btw, i just finished watching the 1st hour of NOVA’s ‘elegant universe’. It was very, very interesting. I liked it a lot. 🙂 (even though physics is not my department. 😉 )

thanks, i love the show nova, my favorite has to be the one on Einstein’s study of light and how it was used to create the theory of relativity and diprove all the early scientists about the rate at which all things fall. Another of my favorites, well, just in general, would be the studies of the universe and the body of water on something along the lines of Utoria?, not sure about the name, but it is one of Jupiter’s moons and has a body of water greater than that of the Earth’s, and it is theorized that we could use it as a backup if the Earth were ever in danger of being destroyed (the Sun turning into a Supernova, or getting hit with vast meteors greater than the size of Uranus, which is HUGE!!! 😯 )
