I was wondering, which animal is more similar to human – swine or ape – if we’re talking about anatomy. I know, that genetically apes are the same as men in 95% or even more, but I heard that anatomicly pigs are more similar to human than apes. So, am I wrong or am I right? Thank you for any usefull answer.

I’d go with apes. In fact I’d DEFINITELY go with apes. You know weapons manufacturers test new bullets by firing them at large boards of soap because of the similarities to human flesh on impact…

Anatomically apes are more similar. Think about it: same number of digits, binocular vision, very similar body shape; the only real anatomical difference between humans and apes is our fully opposable thumb.

And our ankles. And knees. And hips. I’ll stop now lol

Those aren’t quite as major differences as the opposable thumb, at least not in evolutionary terms.

      apes rule your question.

I think it can often depend on the person. My flatmate is pretty messy… But overall, Apes. Definitely.

swine because although as you said apes are genetically similar we have successfully transplanted numerous swine organs into our bodies.

yes, but that is not because of genetic differences. An organ from an ape would probably present many more advantages, but it is easier to raise a pig than an ape. And easier to extract an organ from it.

Apes closely resemble man even in his behavior.
So sorry however that man could really act like a swine.

Nothing is harder than raising a man I guess.

yeah, and raising a man to harvest his organs is not exactly moral..

I agree completly with your theory.

that’s because swine are less ethically messy to deal with.
