Because they’re born with with a genetically inheritted gene from onion especially for cells which are located near their eyes… ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Ok, enough for the joke ๐Ÿ˜† Um, I can say that its related with their hormonal cycle which make their feeling gets more sensitive.. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

i’ve read about this in national geographic magazine, i think

women generally feel more pain, and also feel pain more

this is because men focus more on physicalaspect of discomfort which increase the pain threshold

women focus both on the physical and emotional aspect

Hmm…I’ve heard that, during menstruation, women usually gets more sensitive (maybe because of their hormone regulation like estrogen and progesterone) and indirectly affecting their psychology…that’s why they’re easily cry..

      How about men? well..ehehehehe… ๐Ÿ˜‰

i think that environmental factors also play a huge role in determinig whether or not men cry.

Some men actually do force in their tears because of the general opinion that men ought not to cry.

But anyways, yes, the hormonal cycle in women does make them more emotional than men.

I think the crying spells are perfectly normal as it is again due to the hormonal cycle which results in varying emotions at different times.

I think itยดs related with hormones. Women simply are more sensitive. They are more emotional , which I think is better than showing little feelings. I dunno what our world would be without feelings.

Ya, women in nature are made more prone to emotions involved with tears ๐Ÿ˜ฅ they are hyper senstive! But believe me, some women are as tough as men and cry as much as men!

i think, women cry a lot than men, its because it difficult for women to keep it inside, it has to do with depression… if women, just keep on hiding what they feel, they’ll be crazy, perhaps

Don’t know the scientific explanation but it is related to hormones..for example born women that change sex to male by taking testosterone, express decreased emotional lability,it’s harder for them to cry testosterone stops it….guys most often have interior crushes, but they are also emotional…

I think that last answer has the right combination of reasons.

It’s definately not a physical aspect i.e pain because women have a higher pain threshold than men which is needed for child birth.

It’s most likely a combination. Most societies frown apon men crying (they learn to hold it in), obviously hormones and periods of time where hormone cycles change.

Some studies have put forward the idea that women tend to be more ‘hormonally sensitive’ to respond to the needs of possible offspring and to form and strengthen social bonds between offspring and other ‘peers’ including male partners. I’m not saying this is right but it’s something to think about instead of simply saying it’s because of hormones.

i think that blatently dismissing emotions as simply the result of chemical reactions doesn’t say much for the soulful creatures we are. science doesn’t have a definition for love or soul. and mechanistic science’s interpretation of ultruism is altogether insufficient in explaining us. i think its women’s innocence that makes them cry so much. they are more prone to be affected by the horrible workings of the world. like their heart is soft and gets prodded and pushed by little things that dont cause a reaction in men.

I don’t think there is a definate scientific answer for this one, but it is definately more socially acceptable for women to cry rather than men. This could cause men to build a higher tolerance to reactions of physical and emotional pain as they age, as children of both sexes seem to cry the same amount.

Because it is considered socially acceptable for them to do so. It is conditioned into men and women early on that they have specific behaviourisms that must be followed, and feminine emotional-ness is taught to be considered acceptable.
Really, this is more of a psychology matter…

Actually, men have a higher pain threshold then women do. So it is actually partly a physical aspect. I’ve noticed when women get hurt or something, they whine more and cry more. So it is a physical aspect at times.
      Here’s an article on it.

[i think its women’s innocence that makes them cry so much.]

Women are not always so innocent when it comes to sexual matters. I think that women cry more because motherhood requires pity and/or mercy. Both require sensitivity. If women were not so sensitive towards their children, they might be the ones beating them :P. There is also the supposed "motherly instinct" that makes women more caring and acts almost as an extra sense (though as far as I know the latter is yet to be proven).
Come to think of it, the first thing I said may be due to the increased emotionality. Whatever the reason, women being so emotional can be either really cute or really annoying.
