What is Antigen & Antibody Conjugation?

Antigen and antibody conjugation is an essential part in biological agents for targeted therapeutic studies, immunoassay or detection applications. Generally, an antigen is a large, complex molecule with a molecular weight greater than 10 kDa. It is able to promote a good immune response and induce high levels of specific antibody. Custom antibody conjugation use a monoclonal antibody or polyclonal antibody through chemical conjugation with other biomolecules which includes the conjugation of antibodies and their fragments with biologically active molecules, such as nucleic acids, oligonucleotides and their analogs, peptides, proteins, or with any molecular group that adds valuable properties, including radionuclides, enzymes, toxins, metal chelates, haptens, fluorophores, and others.
