Participant1. What’s the difference between ‘organic acids’ and ‘fatty acids’? What’s the molecular formula for the fatty acids?
2. What is enzymes’ work? Thanks for replies!

ParticipantOrgani acids have functional group -COOH in them.
eg. CH3-COOHFatty acids are long chain organic acids,
R-COOH where R is long carbon chain of saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbons,
eg. CH3(CH2)5CH=CH(CH2)7COOH –PALMITOLEIC ACID uNSATURETED.
CH3CH2-COOH —PROPIONIC ACID sATURATED.
So nothing much differance in them. Just not all organic acids are used in metabolism. Unsaturated f.a are of main use.
Fatty acid in body are synthesised from lipids. i.e Triacylglyceroids
