  Hi,
  If anyone help me regarding:
  I want to run ssr on acrylamide gels, for denaturing acrylamide gel which stain is good/Can I use syber gold to stain (consider single stranded DNA, as it will be denatured and Ethidium bromide could not be used).

  I would think the SYBR stains would work. From the product literature it looks reasonable. I’ve not had a chance to use any of them myself yet.

  WE use Sybr-gold for staining acrylamide gels in DGGE, and it works without problem. But it is for dsDNA. I never tried to detect ssDNA, so If you think know that Sybr-gold can detect it, acrylamide should not be a problem.
