What is adhesions? How do you form adhesions? What is the latest age to contract adhesions? Is it possible for adhesions to have the same symptoms as another disorder/illness?

adhesions are bands of scar tissue overgrowth.
People often get them from surgery. They can sometimes cause problems and wrap around organs such as intestines, and thus cut off blood supply.

Some people are more prone to develop adhesions.

If you have them, surgeons can cut them out.

Would you recommend for a senior who has multiple surgeries close to 15 or perhaps more to go in to have them?

Thats between you and your doctor.

I had adhesions sliced before, only because they were causing problems.

If they are causing problems you should ask your doctor to see a surgeon.

The surgeon and your doc will evaluate the risks, and talk to you about it.

I still have adhesions but I am doing OK.

      Good luck

PS: you sure have had enough surgeries!!

      I thought I was bad with 9 😯

I don’t have them my grandmother has them. Or at least she claims she does. When my mother was young she had a lot of surgeries as a I mentioned before. She has been to numerous doctors look at her over the last 5 years and they have all said it isn’t adhesions. They all insist that it is diriticulitus which seems to have all the right symptoms. I have been researching into it because her symptoms are so close to diriticuselitus. It appears to be that she is just phycotic about this idea.

After analyzing her nutritution and her habits it appears that she just has a bad case of diriticulitus. Her diet includes almost no fiber, consists of only processed foods, and she doesn’t get enough excercise.

i’m no expert but i have been training to become a massage therapist and these adhesions can be broken up so to speak by the right kind of massage most think that it’s just luxury but since the lymph doesnt have a pump like blood it rely’s on human contact and it improves circulation so mabye that would help her my gma had those 2
