Have anyone of you guys seen or heard that when wet hair(long or medium lenght) is tied up without drying properly, sometimes(after a while) small knots appear on each hair.My classmate recently got that n she told me that she has to wait till her hair grows longer and then cut the hair from where the knots start.Whats it called and why does it happen ❓

It is dredlocks? I think this is when hair becomes matted. You can get this just by not washing your hair for long time. I know because my dog has it sometimes and they make special brush that cuts the mats and seperates hair.

I have long hair, and I usually don’t dry my hair properly. And never noticed anything like that.
