Hello everybody. I was just wondering if there any formula to calculate the necessary amount of DNA for effective transformation. Maybe someone know where to look in to get this information. Thank you

you mean transfection? or cancer transformation?

I mean, transformation – foreign DNA to host cell.

not much at all is necessary. for example, commercially available vectors for transformation efficiency control are transformed at the pg level. however, if u are using ligation products, i used something like 50ng.

Thanks, I also use 50-100ng, but I was wondering maybe there is some formula to count.
