Which of the following is a plausible mechanism for the arisal of the autohexaploid type?

      a) union of reduced gametes from autooctaploid and diploid parents
      b) union of unreduced gametes from autotrtiploid and autopentaploid parents
      c) union of two unreduced gametes from two diploid parents
      d) union of reduced gametes from autotetraploid and autooctaploid parents
      e) None of the above

I think that it is D.

just count, what number of chromosomes would you get
      a) 8/2 + 2/2
      b) 3 + 5
      c) 2 + 2
      d) 4/2 + 8/2
      e) anything else…

      (so, yes, should be d)
