I know that the ADH hormone secreted by the pituitary gland controls the water reabsorption in the DCT of nephron and controls the blood vol.
Another hormone Aldosteron secreted by adrenal gland controls the Na retentation by the blood .
Is this aldosteron hormone has any thing to do with the blood vol. control by making the urine concentrated or dilute? - March 11, 2006 at 4:24 pm #43028cardiorrhexisParticipant
Yes.
Low Na+ = less water reabsorbed = decrease in blood volume = low blood pressure = dilute urine
High Na+ = too much water reabsorbed = increase in blood volume = high blood pressure = concentrated urine
