Can you fart in your sleep? Saying it in other words, is farting a voluntary or an involuntary action?

The consensus there was that yes, its possible for people to release gas in their sleep.

of course it is. If you eat a lot of beans and then go to sleep, when you wake up there will be quite a smell in the room…

Both, but there isnt so much you can do about a overload – you’ll have to accept that it will come out, soner or later, whether you want it or not.
