Some cell require incubating overnight at 37oC in 7% CO2. Can anyone tell me why do we need 7% CO2 and not 5% CO2 which is normally used.

Curious too! Do u know why 5%? Atmospheric % is much lesser…
photosynthetic cells better have more co2 untill it acidifies them to disturb their activities…

While isolating the schwann cells from the sciatic nerve, I need to treat the nerve with enzymes an incubate them at 7% CO2.
