How can I detach cells from surface of PDMS?
I did trypsin with EDTA treatment for two minutes but, it didn’t work well.
Help me~ 😀 - February 21, 2010 at 4:58 am #97777mithParticipant
what’s your cell type?

The cell type is HeLa.
Should I increase the time of trypsin with EDTA treatment more than 2min ? - February 21, 2010 at 4:57 pm #97785MrMisteryParticipant
can’t hurt to try. Also try gently tapping the flask after the digest, that used to work well when I did tissue culture (never used HeLa cells though)

But..It’s not a flask. It’s a kind of chip made of PDMS. So does the tapping work well in case of chip? It’s too small…

I’ve tried trypsin up to 20 mins with both mcf7 and rex cartilage cells without much problems, try incubating for longer(@37 C). If too many die you’ll have to find another way.
