Hi!
during my bio lecture (2nd yr) the prof mentioned that denaturation of DNA can occur by increasing temp or increasing pH. I understand that at higher temps the Hbonds will break between nucleotides, but how does denaturation occur at higher pH? i guess im looking for the process.
thanks

Adenine becomes soluble in weak acid…and uracil(speaking of RNA) in ammonia

laurenheat, high pH, low pH, they all break the H bond
