      Hey friends,

      I have an argument.
      Suppose a person is alwarys staying in A.C.(Air conditioner) .
      The A.C. cools the room and also the body.
      So our body tempreture tends to decrese but that does not happen because our liver produces heat from the metabolism of food and keep our body temperature constant (Homeothermal – Mammal) i.e. 37 degree Centigrade. If we stay in A.C. then to keep our body temp. const. our liver (and other related organs) has to do more work to produce heat.
      Then the food we eat, some part of it will be definitely used in this.So we lose energy.

      My question is If we stay in A.C. efficiency of our body decreases or not?

      If it is true in the cold countries wher the surrounding is naturally cold i.e less than 37 degree cent. the efficiency of the people will decrease. But as I know in cold climates the efficiency of doing work of body increase.

      Which is correct?

      Hey I mean to say efficiency is the ratio of total work done by the body to the energy input(Food). In increasing our body temp. if some energy is lost then the work out put is less than the usual. In the other hand in non A.C. case the whole food is utilised in providing energy for vital activites rather than providing energy for increasing body temp.

      I think you can understand what i want to convey.

      if the energy is converted to heat which our body need, i dont think we should consider it as energy loss

      Why not KIEKYON??? I think our body may not have to expend that much amount of energy if we shall not stay in A.C.
      I want to say that that amount of extra energy could have been used in some other way such as growth, regeneration, musculture etc.

      What is wrong with my opinion???

      first of all, I think that my country which is tropical country has +/- 27 ºC (means that below 37 ºC)..is it cold according to you??

      then, I wanna said that, if we’re losing our efficiency because of cold temperature (because we produces more heat) then I’ll sleep on a snow bed without feeling cold…(get balanced with my heat producing).
      The truth is, whether we’re in a cold area or hot area, the efficiency don’t change much…
      in cold area, we produces heat more by doing carbs and/or fats combustion. (to produce more ATP which in turn to heat up our bodies). but in hot area, we also doing a nearly same carbs and/or fat combustion to produce ATPs which in turn to do another physiological processes (i.e. opening sweat pores to sweat up our bodies). Beside, I think that I’ve ever heard in chemistry lesson that the kinetic energy of molecules and their reactions get speed up by heat…:lol:
      So?? aren’t all of those things about hot and cold are are just the same??:wink:

      ok, i think u can say that u will need more energy in cold climate.
