I really like dinosaurs, and I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a map or a list of every species to have ever existed. I would also like to know about the tendencies of life over time. For example. after dinosaurs more mammals thrived. What came before dinosaurs? Thanks for the answers!

I’m not sure about the list, but before dinosaurs were the dominant, large, terrestrial animals, that place was taken by various types of mammal-like reptiles (early therapsids). The last "dynasty" being the cynodonts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynodont
