Hi
Is there such a gene in the market that promotes growth of the entire host? Like a growth inhibitor. ? If so what’s it like?
Much appreciated 😀 - May 21, 2007 at 3:40 am #72909david23Participant
hmm dont u mean growth enhancer? to promote growth.
If you are talking about growth hormones, yes, that is pretty common. For your fishes, administering some growth hormones is much easier than the a genes.

Thanks dave23, as we say over here you’re a star
Has it ever been done to make a huge hybrid .by adding new genes mean is there a gene for size and volume? - May 21, 2007 at 9:54 pm #72960david23Participant
You ask if there is one gene to control size, I’m going to say that there are many many genes, all regulated differently. The reason I am suggesting growth hormones is because the hormone itself is a regulator for many of those genes.

Does any body know what is the plant growth hormone gene called and were to purchase it?
thanks - May 22, 2007 at 7:54 pm #73048david23Participant

A list of plant hormones. I think Auxins are for growth, but there could be others.

Thanks mate
I think Gibberellins is one too because some time last year i heard or Gibberilic acid. Its simulates the plant to make more growth hormone.
