I am currently taking grade 11 biology in high school.
My teacher assigned me a project on making a model of a cell in the body and writing a report on it based on questions she gave us. I chose to do the hair cell. However, I can find hardly any information online and I’ve been having a tough time gathering enough info to actually write something. I’ve pretty much got the model covered (if anyone could give me extra tips, it would be greatly appreciated). Here are the questions I need to have answered:

-What is the common name and scientific name?
-What are the specific functions of your cell in the human body?
-How does your cell accomplish its functions?
-What dimensions does your cell type have? How do these compare with the dimensions of at least 2 other cell types in the body?
-How do the structural characteristics of the cell type you modelled compare to those of the generalized cells studied. For example, does your cell type have more of, or lack, a particular organelle?
-How does the shape and size of the cell type you modelled contribute to its special functions?
-Almost all cells in the body interact with other cells. Explain which cells your cell interacts with and explain HOW it interacts with other or supports the functions of other cell types (which other systems, how cells react with its own kind)
-All specialized eukaryotic cells arise from stell cells. Outline the development of the cell type that you modelled.

PLEASE HELP WITH ANY INFO POSSIBLE. I would greatly appreciate it. I’m desperate 😥 It’s due on March 10th and I haven’t even started.

Try your search using the term "keratin" (hair is made of keratin).

I tried that, but I still can’t find any decent information.
