  okay this is human and social biology homework. i cant find the answer to this question:
  how is the heart muscle nourished and supplied with oxygen and glucose?
  if anyone has some good links or an answer please help. my teacher is very serious about homework.
  please and thank you.
  basic stuff, not too detailed.

  The heart muscle is supplied with blood on the outside by arteries like any other organ. It is supplied by the Left and Right coronary arteries, which I believe are supplied directly from the aorta. As with any other tissues, there are veins and capillaries involved as well. The blood enters capillaries from the arteries and join with the veins in the capillary bed, where blood mixes with the muscle tissue of the heart and provides it with nourishment, collects carbon dioxide and other waste and then returns into the veins.
  Is that sufficient?
