a student heats up a test tube containing large amount of protien and biuret reagent. She notices a colour change from violet to blue. Explain why heating causes a colour change.

Becouse there is chemical reaction at the hight temperuture, and reagent bind to protein, that give new color (by the way – chang from violet to blue is a slight color change, becose those colorse is close to one another at the spectrum)

I use biuret regularly and never use heat to facilitate the reaction – is that weird?
