ParticipantCan anyone answer this question please. Glucose is usually represented as a ring structure. How is possible that it can still reduce Benedict’s solution?

ParticipantBeside the ring structure (Haworth stucture), glucose can also be represented in conventional way and if you see it carefully, there’s an aldehyde molecular function at one of it’s tip..that aldehyde structure (-CHO) can reduce benedict solution..:wink:
