I’ve been struggling with this problem for a long time and don’t know what else to try. It’s clear that the underlying causes can be different, from hormonal changes to stress, but I still wonder if there is a universal approach. I went to a dermatologist, but it seems that it’s not enough help so far. What do you think about using olive oil for the skin? I’ve heard that it can help moisturize, soothe inflammation, and even fight irritation. But I wonder if this is actually true. I’ve tried using it a few times, and basically my skin has become softer, but is it worth continuing?

that really sounds frustrating, and looking for one that works for you can add to the stress. Olive oil, if it helps smoothen your skin and you want that effect, then, could be good for you. However, with prolonged use, that i am not sure of. There are studies with mixed results about using olive oil. While others find it beneficial to the skin and has healing properties, others regard olive oil as comedogenic, meaning has the potential to clog pores… making it not so ideal for acne-prone skin… Still, a visit to a trusted dermatologist is best if you’d like a professional advice that fits you… what works for others may not work for you the same way that what works for you isn’t for everyone. The universal approach could still be about proper skin cleansing and exfoliation using products suited for you, and since it’s hormonal, then proper diet is also key. Exercise can also help in improving blood circulation but cleansing your skin after is crucial to prevent futher skin breakouts.
