I have a question that i find hard to answer. can you help me?
In the second half of the females menstrual cycle, the levels of estrogen and progesterone increase to prepare the body for pregnancy. During this time, no more eggs can be released from the ovary. Explain fully how the high levels of female reproductive hormones influence the negative feedback system to prevent any further ovulation in the second half of the menstrual cycle.
Can you answer this correctly?
thankyou heaps,

I am into Reproductive Endocrinology and I know the answer. But as I am also a teacher, I don’t like to see students don’t try to do their task. Please try to answer with your version and I would like to guide you. That’s what we call "studying" 😉

Here’s a hint – in terms of your question (preventing initiation of a new cycle leading to ovulation), why should the second half of the cycle work differently from the first half (at least until the end)? Things change in the second half, but that isn’t one of them.
