please reply explaining……. 🙄
Leucine is encoded in the mRNA triplets CUA , CUG , CUU, CUC , UUA and UUG. Leucine tRNA anticodon can not be ….
a.CAG
b.CAA
c.UAA
d.GAA - August 28, 2010 at 9:37 pm #101053JackBeanParticipant
just read in reverse complement: UAG, GAC, AAG etc.

but in your opinion which answer is true a , b , c or d

I showed you, how to do it, I won’t tell you the answer 🙄 What do you think?

CUA – GAU
CUG- GAC
CUU – GAA
CUC – GAG
UUA – AAU
UUG – AACWhat I have done wrong in this problem?

I said REVERSE complement, so you have to turn it around 😉 so:
CUA -> UAG
CUG -> CAG
etc. 😉 - August 29, 2010 at 9:51 pm #101069ACyanNightParticipant
Why do you have to reverse it?
- August 31, 2010 at 3:33 pm #101091JackBeanParticipant
because the triplets bind with anticodons in reversed order 😉
