hi there
we know that phenotypical characters are controled by genotypes then i want to know that in case of animals and especially in the case of insects as they undergo metamorphosis what happens with DNA/gene structure does it remains as it is during entire life or some DNA/genes follow some sort of change with respect to growth,metamorphosis and other changes - December 9, 2006 at 11:18 am #62218LocusParticipant
DNA itself is intakct when metamorphosis is ocurre, becouse metamorphosis is part of insect phenotipe that determinate within the DNA. So, during metamorphosis only gene antivation/inactivation pattern is change.

Ya, Its about activation and inactivation of genes a every stage of life cycle as per needed.
